Lovely light dinner provided. Beautiful setting.

A uniquely beautiful renovated historic structure on the central Bergen harbor. Exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful included breakfast, afternoon tea and sweets AND complimentary dinner.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service and location. Close to everything in Bergen. Lovely view from both our room and the terrace.

Great hotel in great location

It's a quirky hotel but not really worth the premium over more mainstream chains. The domed ceiling room you see in the photos is out on a limb and looks like it was once an entrance hall but that door is locked these days. There is apparently a sauna but it appears to be tucked away behind the breakfast room as that's where we saw two gentlemen in robes emerging. Our room was OK but small and looked like it has had a makeover in the last few years but you can still see the holes where the old fixtures were presumably fitted. Towels were clean but old. Overall a little faded.

Excellent facility in great location Room was small. Serve an excellent breakfast and pretty good dinner.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of Bryggen. Rooms are clean and spacious although there is only a small wardrobe area and no drawers at all. Rooms are not serviced during your stay and towels changed on request. We were there for 4 nights and needed to dispose of our own rubbish. On the plus side the complimentary afternoon fika and evening meal is a very good bonus and compliments the excellent breakfast. Finally, the bar is not the best and not really what you would expect from a 4 star property. Staff service was mixed ranging from extremely friendly & helpful to bordering on rude.

Location was incredible for exploring Bergen! The staff was great. Breakfast was really good! The complementary dinner was lackluster - we only took advantage of it once.

Right by the harbour in downtown Bergen. Short walk to all the attractions. Easy to get to from the airport. Great buffet breakfast, complimentary afternoon tea.
