The surest endorsement I can offer: this is my second stay, and I'd book a third without hesitation.
Hotel del Peregrino delivers on everything a well-run small hotel should. The location is excellent, the value is hard to beat, and the hosts are gracious without being intrusive — a balance that's harder to strike than it sounds. Practical touches matter here: guest access to a kitchen and fridge gives you real flexibility, and the plunge pool is a treat on a hot afternoon.
Bring bug spray — it's the Yucatan. I got bitten; my companions didn't, and I kept forgetting to ask the hosts to help sort it.
If you're looking for a comfortable, well-located base in Mérida with hosts who take their hospitality seriously, Hotel del Peregrino belongs at the top of your list.

ยอดเยี่ยม Don Roberto was an excellent host. The hotel is beautiful, it has tall th amenities you need. The kitchen area is super clean. The location is extremely good. Everything is closed by and walking distance. I strongly recommend this place and I would stay there again.

Great location and easy parking. Mario and his staff were excellent. We had booked a King room and it transpired that our room was on the ground floor near reception. Due to the design of the building the ground floor rooms have little or no day light (no window) which does affect the feeling of the room. Fortunately after our first night we managed to move to the first floor, where the room had a window and was much nicer. Rooms are clean, a little dated but quaint enough decorated in the local style. Great location and a quiet area.

Hotel Peregrino is a great find. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, plazas, and sites. Roberto and Fernando are extremely helpful, and we are grateful for the kindness and assistance they provided during our stay. The rooms are very clean.

The room was pretty and spacious, the staff were friendly, the shared kitchen space was a nice spot to get water and sit in the shade, the small pool and patio was a good spot to relax.

We had a great stay at Hotel Peregrino! The hotel is located off the main strip so it's quiet but very close to all the amenities and restaurants still. The beds were comfy and having a safe was helpful. The inner courtyard is gorgeous and you have access to a shared kitchen and tea. Only thing is that the pool is fairly small and may not accomodate large groups, but we did not have an issue as there were just two of us. The staff were absolutely lovely and told us a lot of information about Merida and surrounding areas. We went to some Mayan ruins off the tourist path and really enjoyed them!
