Great to have a park so close to Freo central. Lovely historic building. There was no ventilation in my room as the window was permanent close. Shared facilities were basic. Nice shower with very hot water Overall good value.

Historic building…pub in super-convenient location in Fremantle. Opposite the famous Freo Markets and excellent public transport on the doorstep should you need that.

Neat and Tidy, all good..

The location is fantastic to walk around the Fremantle sites. We had dinner at the hotel which was also nice. The room was simple but more than adequate for us. The stay representred good value for money. The check-in/out was also pleasant with friendly staff

Staff were all excellent. Room was large, clean, bed was comfortable, housekeeping was daily and of a good standard. Location cannot be beat, right in the heart of Fremantle, walking distance to everything, bus stops nearby. The downsides: rooms are not soundproofed - you don’t get noise from the bar on the ground floor but you definitely get disturbed by any conversations being held in the doorway or doors being opened and closed. The bathroom was TINY, and cold (I visited in winter but still), and even though they provide a kettle and coffee machine, the bathroom basin is the only way to get water and it’s too small to fit anything other than a cup under the tap. You can fill a water bottle in the bar downstairs when the staff are there from 8am. I thought I’d lost an item and spoke to 3 staff members on separate occasions who each assured me they’d check with housekeeping for it and forward the message to the next shift leader and then the next time I asked about it the next person wouldn’t have a clue what I was talking about (lucky for me it was just hidden under something in my room!).

Nice little ancient building with all the charm of a tavern of old but well maintained. Budget friendly yet decent accomodation with updated interiors and good clean rooms. You are attended to as soon as you enter the premises by any staff available. Comfortable and great location. Inhouse parking available which saves you heaps. Super easy reach of Freo Market and walkable area for the tourist. Only down side was the missing bathroom door! At least put a curtain in place! Aside from that, I’d stay there again.

Beautiful classic older place but the stairs was the only problem but everything else was great
