Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

The food was not good but the staff were friendly

This is the 2nd time I come to this hotel it was great. Check in was a little too long this time but they always have refreshments, we were in building 19 . To start the refrigerator was not working we had to wait till midnight to get it changed, the following day the A/C went out in the whole building. The next day we were at the beach and there was a thunderstorm so they got us out lol. The rain doesn't last much but they have to follow protocol. The pools were clean, bathroom was clean drinks were great. Obviously the room a/c was fixed same day n then everything was great. The spa was great if u can u should try it. I left my son in the kids club which he had fun the staff there is great too, we seen monkeys, capibaras, lizards, bats n more I will come back I love it here.

We missed our tour because no signs at the front lobby to say that tour pick up are done in another area and tour drivers are not allowed to go up to check on us. There should be visible signs to direct us.

Our hotel was in the center of activities, and was able to enjoy most of the highlights of Cancun. The resort had good dining experience, accommodation was fabulous. Most staff were friendly & very cordial to our request.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We received our wristbands and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort of our beds. As we strolled around the resort, we were mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. The food was delectable, and the snack bar and margaritas were simply irresistible. I can’t wait to return next year!

Amazing place, food, drinks, staff, beautiful wild life. We had an amazing time

We stayed here for 12 days and we really appreciate how convenient everything was especially next to the park. We purchased the rooms with the park entrance and that was a great deal for our family. We like that we can go to the park anytime we want and we had two entrances that are dedicated to our hotel. The only I would add is an all-inclusive package with the park purchase because the buffet at Xcaret was mediocre and expensive. So we found ourselves having to walk back to the resort for our lunch which was kind of the pain in the ass.

I came to Occidental Xcaret with a group of 13 people for our summer vacation, and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. I was so excited to bring my family and friends here after staying here before, but this resort did not meet our expectations. The property is poorly maintained and clearly needs updates. One of our rooms had broken beds, and when we were moved to another room, it had an overwhelming smell of fresh paint that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The food was by far one of the biggest disappointments. The buffet had very little variety, and what was available was often cold or lacked flavor. The lines for food were extremely long, making every meal frustrating. Getting dinner reservations was nearly impossible, so despite paying for an all-inclusive resort, we were often stuck eating at the buffet. The staff was not very helpful when we had concerns. Instead of feeling welcomed and taken care of, we felt like our issues were brushed aside. We spent a lot of money and planned this trip for months, only to feel like our summer vacation was wasted. With a group this large, we expected better organization, better customer service, and a much better overall experience. The only positive was the beautiful natural surroundings and the location near Xcaret, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to make up for everything else. I would not recommend this resort, especially if you’re traveling with a large group or celebrating a special occasion. There are many

Didn’t help us considering we had a medical emergency. I was trying to rebook if it’s not able to cancel our trip. It was 6 months ahead when we were trying to informed them. We failed twice they got our $2,000 plus booking just like that.
