We very much enjoyed our stay at the Guesthouse Galtafell! Our room was very comfortable and the location was great. We even ran in to a small issue getting in to our room and someone was able to come help us very quickly. Check-in was very easy and we would love to come again.

We had a little apartment with two bed-rooms. Everathing was very clean and the beds were very confortable. As we had a late arrival, the owner let us clear instructions but also offered to contact him (it was not necessary). We enjoyed our stay!

Cozy clean space, walking distance to bus terminal and downtown Check in was super easy

We booked 1 night in the studio which is located in a separate annex beside the main house. Our room was at the very back of a passage way beside the house that had a broken sidewalk and was lined with garbage cans and scaffolding. There's no lobby or checkin desk; when we arrived our name was on a piece of paper stuck to the door of the studio. This guesthouse is not at all as pictured. We had no access to the main house yet pictures of lovely sitting rooms and dining areas are online. There is no breakfast available. There is no front desk. Our TV did not work and when we called the contact number to tell the owner, there was no answer. Later we saw her outside and told her our TV didn't work. We were told the TV's don't work but we were free to sign into our Prime Amazon account and watch that! The room was very dark and not as pictured. The glass shower door had mold all over the bottom. The wall below the windows also had mold on it. The skylights were smeared over with some kind of paint. Our "garden view" was of a dirt yard and overturned lawn furniture with a few flowers. We were so looking forward to staying in what was pictured as a charming and elegant guesthouse. We spent many nights in Iceland and the accommodation was always first rate. This guesthouse was a disgrace and should be reported for misleading advertising.

Honestly this place was amazingggg! Easy, comfortable, great location. I couldnt say more. If I had one down side it was the shower. The curtain could have been longer or something but we soaked the floor everytime - very unintentionally. Otherwise it was fantastic
