Location was great , just next to Paddington station, only spoke once to staff at check in - pleasant - got in late . No lift , had to carry suitcases up three flights of stairs, Unfortunately picked the 3 hottest days ever To stay in London , and fan for room not adequate. Overall happy with , location, price paid ,especially for location.

No elevator for four floors Staff is rude unhelpful uncourteous Very very small rooms uncomfortable bed

Really dilapidated hotel which was a big disappointment. One of the rooms we got didn't have an en-suite bathroom - it was located down the hallway.

I was put on the 4th floor (5th in the US). From the 3rd to the 4th the steps on the stairway were extremely narrow and on the 4th going up no lighting until arrival. So be careful. Also I do not recommend this hotel in hot weather as we just had it in Europe. You could open the window, there was an electric fan and a small fridge. Still very hot. The location was fabulous, a few blocks from Hyde Park. And close to Paddington.

The room was clean and the place was tidy. But - - The little sign by the sink in the room (on the 4th floor) that I didn't notice until going to bed on a hot night ("non potable water"). I had to go down to the ground floor to the only water fountain. - The shower is only just usable, Incredibly low water pressure, the h/c taps reversed, no thermostatic valve so you can get scalding water, and you need fingers like a safe cracker to dial in a comfortable temperature. - The toilet seat was loose and moved around...come on guys, that's like two bolts to tighten. - A single container of clear gel, none of your shampoo/conditioner/shower gel here. I like the location, and some hotels around here are pretty good, but this was a disappointment.

Great location! There is no elevator....we were on the 3rd floor.

Good location for Paddington and Hyde park. We realised that this was a budget hotel but it fell well below our expectations. We have stayed in similar priced hotels in this area but this is by far the worst. Unhelpful, unwelcoming and unfriendly welcome by male receptionist on arrival to check in. Very small room with tiny shower room which smelt of dodgy drains. Awful breakfast for choice and quality. Only ‘cooked’ options were baked beans and scrambled eggs in a Pyrex bowl on the counter which were stone cold. Breakfast was 7.30 until 9.30. We were with friends and met for breakfast at 9.10. At 9.30 on the dot all the breakfast food was cleared away and at 9.40 despite still finishing our drinks, we were asked to leave so they could close the dining room. It was not a friendly or relaxed environment and unfortunately I would not recommend booking this hotel.

It was a nice location, but there were no elevators and we had to drag our luggage up 4 very narrow flights of stairs. It was very hot with no air conditioning on the 4th floor. They only provided one fan. It is pretty miserable for the 2 nights we stayed, especially for the amount we paid.

Great budget hotel option if you don't plan to spend much time in your room. We had a room with two single beds and it was perfect for two travelers. The AC was amazing and the water pressure was good and strong. Extremely close to Paddington station made getting to the airport the next day a breeze. Didn't explore the area much but we were only staying for one evening and it served our purposes perfectly.
