The Westin New Orleans

Breakfast and other food/drinks were overpriced. Also there was no pool! That was a disappointment. Lastly I was unaware of the destination fee so the surprise charge was a disappointment as well.

We only stay for 1 night, and we will not going back! We checked in on Fri. When we arrived, the valet was long with 5-6 cars in front of us on a narrow street with heavy traffic. Valet for a big car/suv is $68/day + tax. The check-in is on the 11th floor and elevators smell. We stayed on the 19th floor, and not sure if all the rooms’ doors are the same on every level, but the 19th floor the doors are bad. Everyone including us has to slam the doors to make sure it’s locked properly (imagine when you were trying to sleep, but kept waking up from the sound of doors slamming all night long). There are no trash cans lining in the room and bathroom. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The shower flow is really weak with extremely hot water. 3 things I like for this stay are, the front desk staffs, the view and the bed.

My stay was wonderful.

The Hotel is great and it’s in great location. The front desk staff was just okay. They initially forgot to give us our breakfast passes. The front desk supervisor said they frequently make that mistake. She said customers often have to show them a copy their reservation on the phone to get their breakfast passes. Seems like they would fix this issue, instead of having customers return to request their passes. One of Valet parking attendants left the passenger window open on my new RAM Truck on a day when significant rain was expected. Luckily I spotted the window open as I was walking by about 45 minutes later. We kept the Privacy / Do Not Disturb sign on our door the entire stay; however, housekeeping attempted to enter our room around 9 am on Sunday morning. She said her list had a mistake on it regarding who checked out. Overall the hotel was still nice. Next time, I would stay if I fly in and drive a rental car. If I drive in with a nice vehicle that I own, I would probably stay at a different place.

The staff were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay there.

The Westin is my #1 Hotel to stay in New Orleans and in Mexico. Great Everything

Clean & safe. Very quiet at night.

The food in the restaurant was very good. Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Perfect location!
