Very clean, easy walk to cafes and great value overall.

No staff to write about. No frills room w/ comfortable beds which was perfect. Loved getting the free voucher for coffee in town. Owners of coffee shop were great!

This hotel was great for our needs. My wife and I did one night here and it was perfect for us. It’s not the fanciest stay, and we didn’t really interact with any staff- but the check in instructions provided before hand were clear. Plus the location is unbeatable. I would definitely come back here!

A beautiful location and a great place to stay. The village and the Old Post are just too perfect!

I came to Iceland during a wind advisory and was cautioned not to travel outside of the capitol due to road conditions. I had booked this place a few months ago, but when I got the travel advisory, I attempted to contact this hotel to see if there was anything they would recommend or could do. I called several times and messaged twice to see if there was anything I could do. No one answered the phone and no one replied to either of my messages. Obviously, this is not ideal and not a critic of the location, but rather of the responsiveness to hotel goers. I would caution against staying here given the avoidance to simple questions. Even if there was nothing they could do, I would've liked to hear that but instead I heard nothing.

Super basic hotel. The room was tiny. Hardy enough space around the bed. The wash sink was in the room by the window separate from the toilet and shower which were on the other side of the room in a separate little room. It felt like sleeping in a student dorm room.

The check in went smoothly with the app/website instructions they give, the room was very basic and pretty small but very clean and well maintained! Overall a good place to stay for a night on our road trip, but wouldn't be somewhere I'd stay more than a night or two as the room was very small. We didn't have any face to face interactions with staff but they left lots of notes/instructions around the place for how to get in touch with them if needed, they also left a voucher for the coffee shop in town which was a nice touch!

The room is very clean. The location is great, close to mount kirkjufell.
