I stayed at the Regent Rotorua with my two sons during a family trip. The hotel was clean with useful an amenities, including a kitchenette, two queen beds, and a sofa. Best of all was location: adjacent alleyway with a dozen restaurants and shops, dozens of downtown food and shopping options, and Lake Rotorua well within walking distance. This centrally located hotel is very convenient and family friendly.

We had a large, well appointed room with comfortable beds, a kitchenette area, and a great shower. The hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of Eat Street and other restaurants. The staff is fantastic. I wish we had taken advantage of the indoor pool and the restaurant but we were still jet lagged. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rotorua.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment it was perfect for our girls weekend away. Location was very central. We didn’t dine ant the restaurant but we heard from some locals that it is very good. Eat street was nice & close. Only thing I would say is the pool was a bit cold for use in winter. Expected a thermal pool but it was luke warm.

Outdoor pool and mineral pool. Lovely furnishings - excellent location.

Lovely accommodation. Friendly staff and wonderful restaurant.

I paid $350 USD for one night, and it feels more like a motel than a hotel. I stayed in room 18 on the second floor, and there’s no elevator, so you have to carry your heavy luggage up the stairs. The carpet feels dirty, and at 12:00 am there’s a lot of noise coming from the bar next door—we can’t sleep. When I called reception, I was told to be patient. If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep after a long day, I’d recommend staying somewhere else. I believe the hotel should clearly disclose the nighttime noise, as they are well aware of the issue and I’m clearly not the first guest to complain. The hotel blamed the noise on a holiday evening—but it seems like a constant issue rather than a one-time occurrence.

well presented room

The room was very clean and made to look nice.

Great fun

This hotel is a bit run down. The mattress on my bed was a bit uncomfortable as it seemed to be lower on the sides than in the middle - probably too old. I also caught a cold as the air conditioning blew directly on me as I slept. And I had a problem opening the safe in my room one day and it took the manager of the hotel some time to finally open it. On the positive side, the location is convenient to numerous restaurants. The pool is a nice amenity and if I was feeling better I would have spent more time by it with the other guests. And the staff was very pleasant.
