The room and bathroom were very small and this was not helped by there being very little free space to put things. What little space there was (very small side table and bedside tables) was taken up with hotel fittings. In the bathroom the only space for wash and makeup bags was on the pipe box work left and right of the toilet. Two suitcases (for two adults on a two week trip) had to be left on the very limited floor space. One suitcase blocked access around the bed the other had to be navigated around to get to the sliding door to the balcony. The hotel was very noisy. There was no air conditioning and the outside temperature was hot. The choice was either leave the balcony door open or melt. This meant the already noisy environment was exacerbated by having the balcony open. In the bar I asked for a gin and tonic with lime and selected one of the brands of gin, only to be told “we don’t serve that brand with lime, only cucumber”…….i was not sure who the ‘we’ was but ‘I’, the customer, was not impressed. The restaurant, Mizumi, was good and the staff were good and attentive to the right degree.

Amazing every time we stay, glad we finally tried the hot tub room, it lived up to expectations.

The hotel is beautifully presented. Staff are helpful and attentive. Breakfast is fantastic. Room was very comfortable. The spa was very dark is the only negative. It was a lovely stay.

The hotel is ideally located, well maintained and has very helpful staff. The spa is excellent and has a bar accessible directly from it. Breakfast was good and all produce tasted local. The hot tub was secluded with a great view.

reception staff were very welcoming as well as efficient bar staff were good but sometimes unaware of clients needs outside on the patio breakfast staff were a little too efficient, but the breakfast was excellent basic room was very good all round and clean and the walk into Bowness quite easy entrance steps a little difficult for the elderly...no rail plenty of parking...but it should be free I would visit again

We were initially given room 118. Incredibly dark and dismal. Would have needed lights on at all times. Not a 5 star experience, however when requested we were moved to room 348 which was much better. We weren’t offered a glass of fizz on arrival which very obviously everyone else was. We didn’t use the jacuzzi at all due to the extremely hot weather. Not the fault of the hotel. Reception area, terrace and corridors are beautifully decorated. No air con which we were aware of before we arrived but is needed in a hotel of this calibre. Also no fridge!!!! I found this incredible in a 5 star hotel. It was so hot in the room. A cool drink was a must!! The £12 charge to park your car is a bit of a cheek we felt. We paid £591 for 2 nights with no breakfast. for A hot room with no fridge, granted the price was for the hot tub but as there was no air con in the room we didn’t even take the lid off! A bit expensive for just the decor. Would be lovely in the Winter. I imagine it would be cosy with the hot tub being a great facility. Spa was lovely

Location excellent, staff well trained and excellent. Room was very good. Outside area had great views but some stained seat covers and lots of cracked tiles. Spa was a waste of time as very busy and ended up just sitting in pool as all the jacuzzi areas full. Spa had lots of loose tiles around pool too. Breakfast was excellent. Cheeky £12 per day add on for parking your car in already overpriced hotel. Not quite 5 star but I think this is a self awarded rating and not AA affiliated.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely hotel, food and spa and is in a great location, couple of minutes walk into Bowness

Very nice place in a great location near lake Windermere Room was clean and good size and comfy bed too Bathroom was very small and no room to unpack No real wardrobe either so longer stay would have been an issue I thought it was expensive for what we had. Communal areas are gorgeous but not one dustbin visible!! Parking was expensive at £12 per day Great Asian fusion restaurant was really tasty Towels were a bit hard tbh and pillows were a nightmare for me
