The carpets in the hallways were old and dirty and a strong sent was used to cover up the smell. For someone like myself, strong odors are an issue with my respiratory condition. Our room for a family had only two hooks and only one chair. The bathroom door hinges were lose and the door did not close well. The entire hotel was open through-out the night with one of the side-doors left wide open and NO security or lobby staff. In fact - there is no lobby! It was inconvenient having to go over to the Irvin Hotel to talk to any staff - though the staff was great!

Stay was super comfortable

We have stayed her before. Rooms are fully renovated and very spacious with great views.

Great location

We were lucky to have a room on the corner with a large balcony, rooms were clean and staff was kind. However in our room the bathroom door could not close fully. We were able to park under the inn, do note taller vehicles will have a hard time going into the basement garage. Overall, not a bad place to stay for us!

The Red Carpet Inn is good value for Banff. The room was clean, spacious and well laid out. Free parking, including check-in and check-out day, and the included local transit pass were a bonus. Quality bath products from the Rocky Mountain Soap Company were included. The only negative about the room was lack of closet, or anywhere to hang clothing or jackets. This was not an issue in the summer, but could be in winter when dealing with ski gear. It is important to note that there is no staff on property at the Red Carpet Inn, and all services are managed through the sister property, Irwin's next door. The outside doors to the Red Carpet Inn are never locked (including doors from the back parking lot that did not even have a closing mechanism), so anyone can wander in at any time. As a solo female traveler, this is a serious safety concern, and made me quite uncomfortable.

Property was clean and staff were very helpful and prompt resolving issues of which there were few. It is located a bit out the craziness that is now Banff but accessible to the town. The bus service stops right out front and if you stay at the Red Carpet, you get a three day base. If we were to stay in Banff again, we would consider it as an option.

We were put into a room on the ground floor adjacent to the elevators, vending machines and exit doors. When checking out we explained to the front desk staff our issues and were laughed at. Not the experience we expected paying $475 for a one night stay.

The property needs total renovation, there are no useful amenities.

Great location. Walking distance to several restaurants, grocery store, bus stop & shops. Room was spacious, clean, parking included but no security whatsoever. Exterior doors did not lock, frequently left ajar & balcony door didn't latch. Mainly paying for the location not the quality
