The management of the hotel should be removed. The staff seem to try, but overall the experience was poor. No one said good morning, or afternoon or evening. the Breakfast was extremely limited and barely edible. the cleaners were the best part of the hotel

Le personnel est parfait, tant les femmes de ménage que les concierges . La piscine est petite. Le petit déjeuner servi de 8 h à 10h ne permet pas de faire une grasse matinée. La localisation et les environs de l’hôtel permettent de profiter de la ville. L’hôtel est à conseiller, c’est un très bon plan à Albufeira.

I emailed the hotel 2 months prior to my staff to ask if my bike could be left safely. they responded yes. when It came to my stay they said no it wasn't their responsibility. The manager refused to leave his office to discuss it with me

Very run down hotel, although the rooms are clean enough. Room very basic, had to run round very small in need of magga update shower cubicle to get wet hardly any water flow. Continental breakfast very Continental hardly any choice. At the very top of albufeira old town so, very steep long walk back and very steep staircase to hotel. Moved after one night to much nicer hotel. Do not stay here.

Good location

After reading the reviews, I was really looking forward to my stay at Hotel de gale. Unfortunately, due to a flight cancellation, I informed the Hotel I was going to be arriving a day late and To please hold my reservation. I told him I would gladly 4 forfeit my first night as I simply could not arrive with my flight disruption. Upon arrival, I was informed my reservation had been completely cancelled and they had no rooms available. I was shocked, as I had informed the Hotel I was going to be arriving a day late and please hold my room. The front desk did not make any effort to accommodate me and basically said your reservation is cancelled and goodbye.. I think people that stay at this hotel in the future might want to keep my experience in mind, as they just don’t seem very prepared to give any kind of service. I was really looking forward to coming back and spending some more time in albufeira, as the area is beautiful. This experience with the Hotel de gale has soured my outlook on the area, and I don’t think I’ll return.

I booked this hotel one day prior to our arrival I sent several messages through Expedia, Facebook and email to let them know we would be checking in late after midnight. When we arrived to the property at 12:30 am by cab The clerk at the front desk said we no longer had a reservation He said since we did not check in during check in hours of 4 pm- 8 pm our reservation was automatically canceled . I showed him the texts and emails I sent during the day to inform of our late arrival He did not care I asked why all 3 days would be canceled He said that is the hotel policy and there is a no refund policy We were stuck with nowhere to go at 1:00 am in Portugal He did not care at all Never apologized or offered any help as we had to carry heavy suitcases back up 20 stairs What a disappointment I would recommend others to book elsewhere

I booked this hotel then read the review and panicked!i dont think they stayed in the same hotel as us!lovely lady on reception greeted us,room spotlessly clean,breakfast was an added bonus! The views must be some of the best in albufeira!lots of lovely areas to sunbathe too and nice pool. We would definitely stay here again!

This so called Hotel is a farce. I only booked it because my favourite Hotels were fully booked. My room, 406, was so small that with 2 single beds in, it was impossible to open the door to get in. I tried pushing the beds closer to the opposite wall, only to be unable to do so, because of a bedside table. I got washed having travelled all day. As per normal I put the used towel in the shower. The maid came in next day, and re-hung the same towel. The highlight is breakfast.. A choice of 2 cereals, followed by bread and jam. Watch out the Savoy.

Ok i suppose
