サウナに期待して伺いましたが、自分の期待が高すぎたのかサウナは期待外れでした。 食事は十分に満足できました。

食事がとても美味しく、ロビーで飲み物が充実してしかも無料で楽しめます。昔懐かしい駄菓子も置いてありす。お風呂は広々としていて、サウナもあり、今まで泊まった旅館でベストワンと言っていいかなと思う程楽しめました。

Beautiful, charming and peaceful onsen stay. We enjoyed delicious authentic meals and truly unique onsen facilities. Wonderful hospitality, you feel like you have stepped back in time. Perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing and authentic cultural ryokan in Japan.

Ochiairo exceeded our expectations! The facility, room, and food were all incredible. We definitely got a true Japanese experience and felt like we had traveled back in time. The staff is incredibly attentive and our room was unbelievably beautiful. Loved the onsen experience, authentic food, and the attention to detail.

What a decadent experience in low-key, authentic Japanese style. Not a detail was spared in the gorgeous historic building and lush forest grounds. The several course meals were outstanding, served in our private dining room and the staff was beyond helpful and gracious. The multiple onsens on property were beautiful and healing, you can even reserve one for an hour of private use. To get there, board a shinkansen and get off at the train station that is about 25 minutes away from the hotel and hotel staff will meet you with a private car to pick you up. It is top notch luxury, yet you are still immersed in the culture, and it doesn't feel pretentious. Out of our 2 week Japan trip with many destinations, this was the absolute highlight....we can't wait to come back next year.

Beautiful place. Very quiet and surprisingly easy to get to with train system. Responsive staff and beautiful facilities. Great experience during our honeymoon.
