I recently stayed at APA Hotel Asakusa-Kuramae for about a week in July 2026, and I highly appreciated my experience there and recommend it for solo travellers. The reception staff team was very professional and attentive, and capable in welcoming guests from all nationalities. The housekeeping staff team was excellent as well, not only keeping my room clean and well-mainted throughout my stay, but also greeting me on my way out every morning, The best part of my stay here would be the amenities, most notably the restaurant on the ground floor and the public baths on the top floor. The restaurant offers a full morning breakfast buffet, with Japanese and Continental breakfast offerings available. The food is fresh, clean, and spacious for all guests to enjoy. The Koumeiseki onsen on the top floor ("Genyo no Yu") was exceptional and a welcome surprise in an urban hotel. It was the perfect opportunity to relax and wash away the stresses of a busy day of sightseeing. Making full use of these amenities requires some knowledge of Japanese culture, however, so I would recommend researching traditional Japanese breakfast customs and etiquette for using public baths before coming. Overally, this has been an unforgettable experience at an unbeatable price point. I highly recommend it for any solo traveller considering a stay in central Tokyo.

Good food and convenience, but only one washing machine and dryer.

I love the service and onsen.

It was a comfortable stay, at a great location, calm and close by train statios. They will always bring clean towels, cups and personal hygiene products to the door. Which it was amazing. However, public bath is does not allow tattoos (which i did not saw stated in their page befor booking) and i booked this hotel specifically because of the public bath. Also, lunchtime gets BUSY and there is limited sitting but people finish eatingprettyfast. Staff does a great job at keeping everything clean and being welcoming. Lastly, if you are using the laundry machine (there is only one for the entire building) I suggest you bring you 100y coins because you'll need them, they on accept 100y coins and there is no coin machine nearby. Another good thing, they kept my luggage safe after I sent it feom my previous hotel. Which I'm also grateful for Good stay, yet they could do better, in my opinion, in the areas previously mentioned.

The place was as expected clean, professional and courteous. The staff were friendly and are pretty good in speaking English. The only complaint I have was the laundry machine since there was only one there were times that got frustrating but such is life. The location was great, the bus stop literally just outside the door was extremely convenient and the close proximity to sensoji temple was pretty amazing too.
