We booked a superior room with a king sized bed and a city view in the main building. We were allocated a room in an annex building on the 5th floor with no view (other than a wall with an air conditioning unit on) with a small double bed and the bathroom was nothing like the one in the room we booked and it had a terrible smell to it. There were marks on the flooring and one of the bedside cabinets was falling to bits. There was no tea and coffee making facilities as stated. The check in was in a separate location which I understood from the booking. We could only pay cash for the tax so I had to walk to a cash machine. We paid a deposit charge too which I expected but I have had no indication of when this will be refunded. The room we were allocated appears to be a student room which was contained with 4 other rooms behind a shared entrance. Altogether I was not impressed, especially as we were not allocated the room we actually booked.

Ultimately I had a great room in a great area, but unfortunately my stay started off quite poorly. I was sold a room upgrade which I didn’t understand. I thought I was paying a cash deposit. They put me in a different building than I had originally booked, and as I walked out of the busy bustling area I did not feel very comfortable as a woman travelling alone that didn’t speak the language. I was so tired from travelling and overwhelmed by the number of unhoused people near my building that I waited until the following day to walk back to the building where the reception was, which was more than a kilometre away (my original booking was in a building about 120metres from reception). When I asked why I was put in a different building they then explained clearly that I had paid for a room upgrade. No one ever used that word the day I checked in. I let the staff know that I was alone and had no need for a large suite, and that I was uncomfortable in that area of town. Thankfully they were able to move me the following morning to another building nearby. I was then quite happy with my stay, but be aware if you do not speak Italian that you need to ask lots of questions at check in and be sure you are not paying for an upgrade that you don’t want.

Most of the staff could not speak English. Used Google Translate. Housekeeping did not lock our room after they left. Staff said it was not their responsibility. After asking them to not go in our room they continued to do so and left the door ajar again. The ad said coffee maker/kettle and there was not one in our room. They rolled their eyes as we returned to the check in and showed the ad indicating this to be the case. Had to hold the on button down to get it to work. The location was perfect. The sign The Customer is Not Always Right which was hanging at check in was not pleasant and should have been our first clue that they would not be pleasant to deal with.

Do NOT Use The staff would not hand over the keys until they demanded more money in cash than we were quoted from Expedia and as it was non-refundable we had no option but to pay. They put us in a different property with no ocean view and have not refunded our deposit. We were made to feel so unwelcome by the woman checking us in, she was not listening, refused to talk to Expedia and woudl not let us have our keys until we paid something they called an 'Expedia fee' in cash.

Worst customer service ever. Even have a sign that says “the customer is not always right”. I’ve never had to pay a deposit to stay in a room before 200 euro is ridiculous. They also make you pay for extra fees in cash only. There were alot of disappointed people in reception. The reception was also a 20 minute walk from where I was staying. They also charged me double for city tax and cleaning as I was staying in a double bed room so they charged me for 2 people. Not worth the money at all - highly do not recommend.

The room you “booked” is not what you get. You get instructions on what to do. Once you do the instructions and go to your accommodation there is a separate sign and QR code that says this is the wrong place, you have to go somewhere else to get your actual instructions. It’s a bit of a scam/ game. I met other people who were at the reception (Turkish guy who I helped translate what was going on) who said the same thing but there was nothing any of us could do about it. There’s a cleaning fee they also charge you in cash only because they don’t want record of it (separate of the tourist/ hotel tax). They say it’s a combination of both. Worst part is Expedia knows of this and the agent on live chat told me Expedia can’t do anything about this scam. I took some videos and photos of how dirty and bad this place is but Expedia doesn’t seem to care either. There are other reviews saying the same thing as this too upon further review. If Expedia cared they would have done something about this already. Avoid this place at all costs.

Convenient to get to Serranto and Amalfi coast. Did not like the attitude at the reception

It was a disaster. There was no hotel. Just an office where they wanted 300€ more. Flag. They only took cash. This is for a previously paid in full hotel room. They would not disclose where the hotel was until you paid. There is no telling where i would have been sent. Probably a dump hostel instead of the 3☆ hotel I paid for. It was almost 21:00, in the slums of Napoli, I had luggage and no where to go. Back to the train station to Caserta. A beautiful place. That whole affair was a scam. Stay clear, I was not the only one. There were several of us in that boat. Scam.

The room was spacious and clean to a high standard. The balcony was very pleasant- very wide and sunny with a good view over the harbour and surrounding area.
