We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed every moment. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we had breakfast included in our package. Dala Spa was a highlight—relaxing and well worth the visit—and the welcome drink was refreshingly unique, unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere. We also arranged both a full-day and a half-day tour through the resort, and both experiences were fantastic. Our guides, Arya on the first day and Arjawa on the second, were excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us well informed throughout, including updates on traffic. They shared interesting insights into the local culture and the history of the places we visited. Their recommendations for lunch and dinner were spot-on, offering authentic local spots that we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this place!

The best part of this property is by far the staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Arjawa the bellman explained everything i needed to know about the hotel and the amenities from what time breakfast to how many times they clean the rooms. Pebri, Agung and Komang who were my servers at Brasserie restaurant were amazing always smiling and making sure I was doing great. Sumi was the supervisor at Brasserie and always greated me with a smile and also went out of her to make sure I was well taken care of. At the Bamboo bar I was well taken care of by Putra the bartender there. Amazing drinks amazing service. And Wirta also made sure I was great bringing me towels and always greeting me by name. The food was great at Brasserie I ate there 3 times a day if that tells you anything. So if ever you are in Ubud and want a luxurious place to stay and great staff to treat you amazing I would highly recommend The Alaya Resort.

Overall a very good stay for the price. Location was excellent and the hotel itself was quite luxurious. The only complaint if any, is the mixed quality of the ala carte breakfast items. It’s not a deal breaker though.

Excellent clean room with aircon . Our breakfast was included a la carte - something for everyone. Staff were wonderful. Attentive, friendly very helpful. Basically the highlight of our trip. Will always remember there beautiful smiling faces.

Our experience was nothing short of excellent. Couldn't fault a single thing. It was the perfect way for me and my friend to unwind and very good location.

When we checked in they led us to a room through outdoor fields and steps that seemed to go on forever into a building in the back with room facing directly into a creepy jungle saying it’s the only room they had left. We refused, so they found a room nearer to the front of the property in the first building. It’s 2 floors so had no elevator!!! I think if you’re a resort you should clearly state if you don’t have an elevator bc taking stairs up and down is not desirable for many. I was really put off that you’d have to walk through parties and outdoor fields to access that back building instead of a proper hallway Room was overall nice but the door was faulty, the lock would work sometimes and other times would spazz up. Also bathroom sink was very slow and would pool water. Unacceptable and will not be staying again. I usually stay at the Adiwana Bisma when I want to be in the middle of Ubud city center but it was sold out on these dates and I wish I had stayed at a better option. To be fair, I’m a luxury traveler and have a stricter filter than others might, and if these annoyances I mentioned does not bother you you might genuinely have a good time. The staff were accommodating and breakfasts decent, although room service food was lackluster. Also, moisture not very well managed like a newer place would, the rooms would feel muggy no matter how cool and after a shower you feel soaking wet from sweat. They don’t have humidity control systems.
