Our stay was a mix of positives and disappointments.
Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot at check-in. The team member who assisted us overlooked the prepaid breakfasts included with our booking, which made the check-in process confusing and left a disappointing first impression.
Breakfast itself was average. Our pancakes were served without syrup, and although we requested it, it took over 45 minutes—and an additional call to the front desk/kitchen—before it arrived. By then, the pancakes were cold, which was frustrating.
The rooftop pool and patio bar were definitely highlights of the stay. The food was good, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the service was generally solid during most of our visits. However, one evening our second round of drinks was forgotten, so we decided to close out our tab and end the night earlier than planned. The pool area was well maintained overall, although there was some hair floating along the edges of the pool.
The hotel’s location was excellent—safe, convenient, and within easy walking distance of Whiskey Row. One tip for future visitors: many of the shops are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so plan accordingly to avoid disappointment. We’ll have to save our visit to WhistlePig for next time!
