They were very nice and love the dog

I was very pleasantly surprised by my room with a balcony, smart TV, and private bath! Breakfast is toast, fruit, and coffee. Staff were friendly, and I had a quick chat with the owner on my way out who was also super friendly!

Everyone was super kind just a little expensive to do laundry lol 10$ USD which was almost 15$ Canadian . Breakfast was toast and fruit . Place was clean . Only complaint would be the people upstairs being very loud all night sounded like moving furniture around scraping on the floors & dropping things . Staff was very respectful and kind . <3

Great location, but the lack of AC made my stay miserable! Between the street noise and the high temperature, I barely got any sleep. Definitely not worth the price if you value modern amenities.

The room was nice and so was the surrounding area. The only issues I had was no hot water for the whole 5 days. On day 3 I reached out to the owner/host and the live in manager came to assist with the water heater. It worked for one day and then it stopped again. Luis the live in manager helped and I appreciated it but his attitude made me not want to reach out with another issue.

Super deal. Excellent room. Convenient area. Felt very safe. Keep in mind that the room does not have air conditioning. Plenty of street parking within a 10 second walk to the property, so I wouldn't pay the extra fee for parking. Awesome Mexican restaurant at the corner of the block, though a tad pricey. Supermarket right beside it. Mediocre KFC right across the street. I highly recommend this place. The only issue I experienced was that there was a bit of a confusion during check-in and I was stuck in my car waiting for 30 minutes. Neither the host nor the on-site caretaker were responding to my messages (despite keeping them informed of my arrival, as they requested) and I had to have the useless Expedia virtual agent try to contact them. The property manager eventually responded (30 minutes later) and was like "Why didn't you just ring the doorbell?" I would have if you told me to in the instructions, but the instructions specifically said to contact the on-site caretaker through WhatsApp, which I was doing throughout the day and keeping him informed of my arrival (and he never responded). When I finally met him, he was confused by my arrival time, and I specifically showed him my messages through the Expedia platform showing that I specified exactly when I would arrive (again, as requested by the host).

Breakfasts were toast with jam, cut pineapple and watermelon. Left over fruits from previous days were stored in fridge uncovered. Milk from paper container was old. Finally, it was replaced with a new one, after I purchased fresh milk from the neighbor mini-market. Limited on-street parking. Luis was always friendly, including a live-in construction worker, Moises. Room was not cleaned once during my entire 3-night stay. My room had a NO flush toilet papers sign over the toilet paper dispenser. I was instructed to use the trash bin next to the toilet for the soiled papers. Behind it, there hid a good size cockroach.Because there was no cleaning service, I was shown how to dispose of the soiled papers in a garbage container in the downstairs garage. Thank goodness, I was given a new trash liner to DIY. Apparently, there was no pest control for my room. I found pin-head black ants near the vanity sink. They also entered through the lid of my half-full cup of orange soda, placed over the mini fridge overnight. Beware the church bells were rang 6:30 am, non stopped until you're awaken. The patio outside my room had a non-usage sign after 9 pm, but the light was turned on 5:30 am to announce a new day for me. But I had a very pleasant and different experience for my stay last year.

Booked not knowing what to expect for the price… what an awesome surprise. Hidden gem and great location. Highly recommend. Have stayed here 3 times now.
