We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de l’Ecluse. The property was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent for exploring Neuchâtel, especially the lakefront, the Collegiate Church, and the castle area, all within easy walking distance.
A couple of maintenance issues could use attention — the toilet seat in our room was loose and the shower drain cover kept coming off during use. The room was also quite warm at night. We were able to open the window to cool it down while sleeping, but there was noticeable traffic noise from outside.
Overall, we still had a pleasant stay and appreciated the convenience of the location.

The hotel and room were spotless. Had everything you needed in a great location. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Would recommend and stay here again.

The meeting that I was schedule to attend in Neuchatel was cancelled a full six months before it was to take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When I attempted to communicate with the hotel both through Orbitz and directly to see if I could get a refund, partial, refund, or postpone my reservation until next year, my queries were met with silence. Clearly not a guest-customer oriented establishment. The kept the deposit and didn't say a word. Very poor customer relations.

I have booked this hotel because it said that I would have a mini kitchen. Upon check-in, I did not find any, so I asked the receptionist and she said "oh but we are fully booked and I cannot change." It was a disappointment. The room was very small as well.

ยอดเยี่ยม I came here for a conference. This hotel is wonderful. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to/from the train station. The service is great, and it is very clean. I did not have the breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. There is a small kitchenette in the room, and you can get equipment (pans, pots, utensils, plates, etc.) at the front desk. They are happy to provide what you need. There is a nice grocery next store. The hotel is very close to the lake and this pedestrian area of town - 5 minutes away.
