Not what I expected unfortunately. Room was nice and cosy with a comfy bed, blanket and heater (handy as it was freeeeezing) however the place felt so isolated and desolate. The kitchen amenities did not even have a sink or hob, and the bathroom did not have a sink either? Was a shame as I was looking forward to my visit there, but felt the need to leave a day early.

clean room friendly staff

We were shocked at the condition of the room. We paid $400 for 1 night and the bathroom tap ran all night you couldn't turn it off and the condition of the bath was bad so we didn't shower. The bedside light didn't work so I had to read with my I phone. Very disappointing.

Loved the hotel, they accommodated our requests and made us feel welcome

Nice

Great value, lovely old building, central location, small car park with more on street. Liked having sink in room although share bathroom - although couldn’t wash hands until back in room. Chilly but blow heater just sufficient. Bedding warm and comfortable.

What...just... happened? This is an unattended building. There's a pile of keys in a bucket of rooms that have been used, and a pile of keys for rooms that haven't. There's no one on property, and if you can't reach the owner (?) by text, you can't check in. Which honestly, would probably have been the best possible outcome. Rooms are nothing like the pictures, this is a one star, eerily lit horror movie set. The heat isn't particularly effective, and the hot water takes about 5 minutes to warm up in the morning. There's a jumble of random soaps and shampoos on the floor of the shower. It's a long walk to town, and it's not clear if there's parking. On the positive side, there's

Everything worn and dirty. In retrospect I don’t think I would stay there at half the price, nor maybe even if it was free. Only upside was that receptionist was pleasant and helpful, but that’s little consolation.

Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable, clean rooms. Very quiet and relaxing.

The room had cleaned bed linen. in a queen bedder. And its own small bathroom. Small table, 2 chairs, 1kettle, 2 heathers. Being a heritage property there is a small sink in the bedroom. Not in the bathroom. They left some cofee, tea, sugar. and toothbrush kit in case we forgot ours. There is no wardrobe or iron available. They have hanging space. There was a hairdryer but you'll need an adaptor to use it. We slept comfortably. It is a heritage building. So it could be a bit noisy. The only 1 staff member we saw was courteous and helpful. I see so much potential for a property like this. For that to happen it is necessary more staff, repairers, gardeners, remove or hide all old stuff including furniture and Cover the laundry area. Maybe more minimalistic look and possibly have some feature walls instead of just white. Location is great and everything is close by, low price accomodation if you are on a tight budget.
