Excellent location quite close to Harvard Square. This is a low key hotel that’s nearly 100years old. It’s well maintained. We liked it better than those huge hotels that dot the Boston area.

Great location, helpful & friendly staff, good breakfast & very good on-site restaurants plus many nearby dining options (of course the hotel is right near the university & it's right by Harvard Square & all of the dining & shopping to be found right there. Though the hotel was completely full (it was Harvard's reunion weekend) the hotel never felt crowded & service remained excellent. My only suggestion/request is re: the room's bedside lighting. The room had two queen-sized beds but only one lamp placed on a table between the two beds (no nightstands or bedside lamps on the other side of the beds. Anyone who is not right next to the one bedside lamp has very little light to read by, since there is very little light except from the one bedside table and lamp.
