Beautiful hotel with modern amenities situated in a traditional setting. Directly next to the Okazaki Shrine and stunning views from the guest rooms of the zen garden and temple. Breakfast was delicious and staff are attentive and swift in service, starting the day off right to explore old Kyoto!

நல்லது I was very disappointed staying here. The room was beautiful and clean, but lacked wardrobe space allowing for only a few things to be hung which was not good for our length of stay and very different to all our Japan hotel stays. While they had complimentary drinks at happy hour in the bar this was incredibly limited and didn’t have any beer. In the mini bar which was free for us, they had beer but no wine. We stopped for drinks outside of happy hour and had to walk away.. charging 3700 for a glass while all our other premium wine selections in 5 star hotels had been around 1500-2000 was crazy. The price for breakfast was also the most expensive of our Japan stays and not worth it, we were disappointed by the quality and limited choice for the price. Again, our 5 star hotel stays had excellent buffet breakfasts for much cheaper. The location is far from the Center, although a lovely walk up the river which we enjoyed. The staff did their best to be helpful, but I feel the hotel policies hold them back in providing a better experience.

The hotel is beautiful and peaceful. It’s a great place to stay not too far from a lot of sights and restaurants. The staff was so kind and attentive.
