older style hotel steep stairs .room was clean and comfy bed was good ,overall very nice

Great price and location 5 minutes from the main street. Right next to the RSL and bus stop for the Blue Mountains on and off bus so location Great Continental breakfast included which was nice change Real friendly staff

Best part was location..worst part was the room was cold drafty , dirty and very noisey...I would rate it 2 stars.... but was cheap. You get what you pay for..

We were there for a winter stay, so the heating from the aircon was greatly appreciated. The continental breakfast which was included in the price was copious, with different breads, muffins, crumpets, and jam, marmalade and honey as well as fruit juices and a good choice of cereals. Organic teas and instant coffee were provided. Espresso coffee was available for an additional charge. There was a comfortable and roomy lounge, a little chilly in winter, but we can imagine it would be really great in summer. We still spent an hour or so each evening playing Scrabble with our friends and other guests used it as well. Staff are not available in the evening (though there is an emergency telephone number), but when we had two small problems (one of our own making) in the afternoon they were quick to help. We hope to be back another time.

Good location

Great location in the middle of Katoomba. The shops on one side and the three sisters a short walk. Breakfast was basic, toast and cereal but for the price this was a bonus. Some reviews mentioned muffins and yoghurt but this was not present on our 3 day stay. The property keeps its original character throughout which is what I loved about it. While the room was reasonably clean there was mold around the windows. It looked liked they had not been cleaned in a long time. Some areas of improvement in the common areas also. Before I even got to my room I noticed the staircase was thick with dust. While we enjoyed our stay and for the price it was a great deal but a bit of money needs to spent to maintain the property a bit better and closer attention to cleaning in the common areas.

Clean and tidy and great for a one night stay while travelling through.

You get what you pay for . Room was not of clean , wet floor , mats of hair in shower , bed had hair on sheets when pulled back . Then breakfast advertised as " Complementary Continental Breakfast " to a toast and coffee.. Wouldn't recommend.....

The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. It was a short walk to the Main Street and multiple dining options. Great cafe across the street and the RSL is on the opposite corner for a handy feed in the rain.
