City Hotel Taipei

Hotel is about 45 minutes from airport. Barebones at best. Reserved a 2 person room and very small. Obligatory 2 pillows with no extra. First night-no hot water and in general shower water pressure is low. No shower curtain or cover so water gets everywhere. There is a buffet type breakfast with basic dishes. Dining areas were clean and tidy. Cappuccino machine available. Staff was nice and polite and no hassle with check in it out.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel. It was convenient to the MRT . Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable for a budjet hotel.

Near MRT and food stalls. Friendly staff and clean, though our room carpet is due for replacement.

Near MRT and plenty of food stalls around the hotel. Friendly staff make our stay so welcoming.

I liked this hotel

This time, the reason of staying there was just its closeness to the airport, but usually I stay a little longer for street-food hunting. It's a wonderful place for that purpose, and I'd like to come back and stay again.

It is a sad setting at a convenient location.

Great location, convenient transport link. Basic hotel rooms with no thrills. Helpful and pleasant staff.

The location is excellent. The interior is a bit dated but high quality and clean. Staff was friendly. Check in was quick, and all I had to do for check out was dropping the key. The bed was comfortable (a bit on the hard side), aircon worked well and was reasonably quiet. The shower had good water pressure and hot water with no issues. The refrigerator also worked well. I did not use the TV. The 7th floor I stayed on offered no noise from the street and a good view. Two things to consider: 1. The soundproofing isn't great, if there are loud people in the corridor (or perhaps in an adjacent room), you'll hear them in your room. This could be a concern if the hotel were fully booked, which it was far from during my stay. 2. There were only 2 power sockets in the whole room. Perhaps the reception can lend an adapter or an extension cable, I didn't ask. These are minor things though. Overall, it's great value for money, and I'd absolutely stay there again next time I visit Taipei.

Clean. Old door with key, not sure if it really locks well. Show water, the amount is unstable. Bad is very hard. Door, table, bad etc. cheap and temporary.
