Great stay at the Hotel Sandakan. Room was great for our family of four. Great view out to the Sandakan harbour. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant (we also had lunch there twice as part of a tour we were on, and can confirm that was very yummy too).

The property is central to a few attractions that we wanted to see and do.The staff is kind and eager and keen to help.When i booked our stay i chose the junior suite with a bath because i like baths after long walks but the bath plug wasn't working and it looked like it wasn't working for some time.We had a pleasant stay apart from that's.

It's a piece of luxury in an interesting place - don't let the exterior building fool you. You can be walking into another world in Sandakan and Hotel Sandakan is a sanctuary amongst it. The staff emulate the local Sabahan hospitality and friendliness, I will stay again next time.

Pretty nice hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast is great! Outside noise is the only big complaint.

Hotel Sandakan met our needs for a one night stay. The beds were comfortable and the AC kept things quite cool. As I expected, the hotel is older and as such a bit run down. The free breakfast had ample selection for our family. For a short trip, I would stay here again.

A/C was a big plus, but overall the room was pretty dirty. No fridge in the room. Staff were very nice and friendly.

அருமை We only had a one night stay as a stop over, the hotel is clean and convenient for what we wanted.
It’s an old hotel with some nice old features.
Rooms were nice and big and comfortable.
A good breakfast was included in the price.
