The hotel could use some renovation. Our room was at the end of the hallway and for some reason it was very hot even though the outside temperatures were cool. The front desk service was super good and friendly and it was good value for money. We had our little dog with us and they were very welcoming.

Great value for what we paid, 2 female senior citizens. Affordable hotel in a nice and convenient spot next to shopping center and major bus hub and in the middle of city center. Train station about 6 minutes away by local bus right by the hotel entrance . Very clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We’ll return and we’ll recommend to our family and friends!

We visited Guimaraes during the off-season and enjoyed our stay at the Ibis in city center. It was conveniently located near the Shopping Center, Mercado, and historic old town with easy walking areas nearby. They accommodated our dog for $15/night, though we couldn't leave her unattended and she was not allowed in most of the lobby area.
There were five hotel parking spots in front of the building, one for handicap parking and one for electric charging. Paid street parking was also nearby, you just had to be careful with timing. The hotel was convenient for people traveling by bus but a little difficult to find street parking and I can imagine that in the summer it would be even more of a challenge.
