Rayland Motel

The accommodation were managable . It was not very clean. Cob webs visible. Very bad maintenance.

The receptionist was amazing!! Room was very basic, there was tee, coffee etc but no milk. Basin was not attached to the vanity. The heat elements were taped so to not turn them on, we didn’t need to use it however. Good tjo for tie price but the reception last was top notch especially the (Indian and I’m not being racist) lady when we checked out!

Parking as a Breeze, Plenty of it. Room was clean and Tidy. Staff were super Helpful

Everything was perfect

It was comfortable for us!

Okay

parking easy, kitchen adequate for our needs

Its ok for our over night stay, close to restaraunts etc

Staff were lovely and proximity to rainbows end awesome. Other than that I’m not sure I would go back to be honest. Quite run down, one room had a very dirty loo, blocked shower and funny smell.

This has always been one of our favourite hotels in Auckland due to the split level family rooms, friendly staff, and proximity to the motorway, restaurants and Rainbows End. On this trip (staying in room 22) we felt the general room upkeep has deteriorated. The milk shelf was missing from the fridge door, the battery was dead in the clock, the upstairs curtain rail falls down when you shut the curtains, the inside of the jug was rusty so we were too scared to use it, and the TV wouldn’t connect. It’s almost like management need to stay a night in each room so they can pick up on little faults that aren’t immediately obvious at first glance. It won’t stop me staying here again because as I said we love this hotel, but I make these comments to manage people’s expectations.
