Great staff great location

What a fantastic property! Not only is is a prime location with cozy, comfortable accommodations, the staff is world class! Always above and beyond

Such a fantastic boutique hotel in between Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. It is nautical themed but not in a cheesy way. Our kids loved it and so did we adults. The only thing that surprised us was the $35/day Guest Fee that no one told us about, even upon check-in…it covered things like “water dispenser in the lobby” and “use of Xbox in the lobby when available.” It would have been nice if the gentleman mentioned any of this during the check-in process.

They don’t provide a coffee pot in the room. When I realized it in the morning, they brought it promptly. Also, they did have coffee in the lobby. Also, I felt a bit like I was in a store with all the things that are for sale in the room.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Argonaut Hotel was very disappointing. The hotel feels very old and dated, and there was a strong unpleasant smell throughout the hallways. It seemed like some kind of fragrance or spray was being used to cover the smell of the old carpets and building, but it actually made it worse. The biggest disappointment was that the hotel looked very different in person from the impression we got from the photos online. The photos made the property look much fresher and more inviting than what we experienced when we arrived. The room was also disappointing, especially the view. Many of the room descriptions and photos emphasized having a “view,” but our view was mostly of a rooftop from the second floor, which was definitely not what we expected. The hotel restaurant was expensive, but unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match the prices. Overall, the hotel felt much more dated and worn than we expected based on how it was presented online. For the price and our expectations, we were disappointed with our stay.

The rooms were beautiful and clean. We had 2 rooms and both bathrooms were dingy and not kept clean properly unfortunately. Staff was extremely kind and helpful! No in room coffee unfortunately.

The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly, We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but the Blue Mermaid bar was great.

Good location. Furnishings including bed linens need to be repaired and replaced. Windows need cleaning. High traffic tourism = heavy wear n tear

The hotel is great and centrally located. Walking distance to the Wharf and North Beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. we will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying here…. A wonderful location, fun decor, friendly staff and clean and nice rooms…. We would def return
