City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for getting around. Room was good ,no air con but did provide a fan. Would stay again .

The room was big and in a great location, clean and comfortable. Very good for the price! However, the fact that there is no AC during a long heatwave was difficult. We had a small fan to put on the table but we were 2 people with one fan in a big room. The staff, sadly, is the slowest one i've encountered. A very long messy line forms almost every hour of the day for the simplest things like check-in and check-out. The front desk looks very small and disorganized and the staff, although most were kind, don't seem to make much of an effort to speed things up. I wanted to send my clothes for laundry, the guy said it will be ready by noon the day after but when I arrived the other lady said "there's no way it's ready" without even checking. Anyway, it was a good value for money but some things can be easily improved.

All the staff dotted about the hotel were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping were great. Breakfast was fantastic. The location was ideal for us. No air conditioning in rooms which was very disappointing. Had a tiny fan to use in the room. At times the room felt hotter than outside. The lack of A/C was the main let down.

Clean room and good service

terrible experience here — lasted all but 20 minutes because the room was over 30° and the fan they gave was was useless. we ended up checking out after 20 minutes and stayed else where!

Rooms lovely and modern, plenty of light and mirror. No air con in this heat was a killer. Small fan was appreciated but didn’t really do much. Toiletries were fab. Breakfast had a good selection (room was a bit dated). Water refill stations down stairs was so handy!! Really good location with transport links - 10min walk from Euston. 5 minute walk to Russell Square tube stop. Would stay again!

Hotel is in a nice location just 5 from the tube. Check in was simple, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was okay nice comfy beds but no climate control. The window only opened a few inches. There was a fan in the room but it wasn't that great so room remained very warm

Almost everything about our stay was perfect. The location is good, the room was lovely. The bathroom and products supplied were great. Check in was a little slow, but not a major issue. The only small to thing to consider is that there is no air-con. We knew this when we booked and even during the 2026 summer heatwave it wasn't TO bad, but definitely something to keep in mind. Our room faced the courtyard which is quite shaded so I think that helped, as did the good quality fan provided and keeping the window open and black out curtains closed. The hotel breakfast was good with plenty of choice, milk alternatives, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses and typical hot options. Overall we were very happy and would definitely stay here again.
