Greeted by a run down room with stained carpets, stained sheets, filthy headboard and damaged amenities in the room. I left the hotel shortly after checking in and eventually received a refund from Hotels.com

Staff were very friendly and location was close to Chester, only 8 minutes into the town centre. Unfortunately the hotel could do with a big refurbishment. Floor boards were creaky everywhere and especially bad in our bedroom. The changing rooms for the pool smelt. The pool itself is ok although the water wasn't very clear. I was also annoyed that I had booked 2 rooms as there 3 adults in our group, only to find in our room a double bed and then a separate bedroom with a further 2 single beds!

The staff we amazing and couldn’t do enough to help me and my children. The bathroom wasn’t perfectly clean and the hotel was quite run down. The pool/gym area was tired looking and needed some TLC. We ordered room service and the food was very good.

what a great hotel and spa, is to locate and easy parking, a brilliant warm welcome and the staff and manager were brilliant and credit to the company. we stayed for 2 nights and really impressed and definitely will be coming back. room was clean and tidy and a great bed, got a lovely sleep.

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were very all very helpful and welcoming. Dinner was exceptional, it was hot tasty and you got a decent plate of food rather than a taster of food. The pool and gym amenities were a great addition to the stay. With the hotel only 10 minutes from Chester Zoo it was a great place to stop to be able to spend the day there and then the pool, hot tub and sauna were great to rest the legs after a long day of walking. Definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were wonderful, and went above and beyond to correct an issue from booking a twin room, which wasn't suitable for 3 travellers. The swimming pool and breakfast were very nice, and soon accommodated my dietary restrictions. Thank you ! Was particularly amazed by the hotel manager, who really did everything he could to help make our stay comfortable.

We stayed two nights. The room was perfect, with a seperate room for the kids meaning we all got some peace! All of the staff were lovely and friendly, saying hi to the kids and asking if we needed anything. They even got me a coffee when we'd officially checked out but the children were using the pool. The facillities are good, if in need of a bit of tlc. At the pool there was plenty of space and hair dryers for everyone, however you can't seal the lockers. We'd definitely book here again, plenty to keep the kods entertained when raining and a perfect hub to visit Beeston Castle, Chester centre, the zoo and there's a pub with a playground a short wall away.
