Very comfortable, beautiful property.

When we arrived just after 5pm our room already had the heater (air conditioner) on so the room was lovely and warm and the radio was on quietly which was a nice touch and made us feel welcome. Our room was decorated beautifully and looked very opulent. There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. The bathroom was modern and included a separate bath and rain shower. The towels were lovely and fluffy and toiletries were beautiful. We loved breakfast, it was advertised as continental but far exceeded our expectations. It included quiche, cold meats, fruits, cereals and yoghurt. Cathy was very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. After a day out in the winter weather, it was great to come in to a glass of complimentary port and chocolates. We loved our stay at The Rivulet and would totally recommend this charming old house with its beautiful decor and plush furnishings. The oriental lillies smelt gorgeous as you walked in the entrance. It's the little touches that make this hotel 2nd to none. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It’s a cute small B&B but not luxury like the listing suggests. Small issues like standoffish staff, getting locked out of the building because of a lock malfunction and my room had an intense chlorine smell.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though situated in a main road there was no trafic sounds at all in fact it totally quiet for our stay and breakfast was exellent.

Our stay at the Rivulet was incredible - was blown away by the room. It was beautiful and spacious. Being able to have parking and breakfast incredible was an amazing touch. It was so charming and I couldn't recommend it more - will absolutely stay again.

We loved our short stay at the Rivulet and our room was spacious, well appointed and with a luxurious extra wide bed. We were aware of a shower running in another room but overall we had a very comfortable stay. The grounds and the amenities and on-site parking were also much appreciated. Very well located on Sandy Bay Road with a bus stop almost at the door. Robert and Kathy both helped us have an enjoyable break in Hobart. Definitely recommend, we will certainly be back. Breakfast exquisite. Cleanliness great. Walking distance perfect to everything.

Breakfast was great, you can have a complimentary glass of port at night. The bath in my room was incredible. Bed also super comfy, loved staying here.
