An excellent place to stay. It had all the amenities one needed, clean, comfortable and top quality fittings and furnishings. Loved the upstairs bedroom and warmth of the place. Excellent cooking facilities. Warm welcome on arrival and then simply left alone but knew if i needed anything, I could simply ask. Walking distance to the supermarket which was great.

The room was clean and straightforward. Comfortable beds. Great location to stay. There's a mall right next door opens at 8am, I could walk there and get gumboots before my trip to Stewart Island.

The Balmoral is an amazing motel find. Every detail is exceptional and we couldn't recommend this motel highly enough, no wonder it is booked out.

This was a unique property where the little touches made a difference. Towel heater, bathroom floor heating and room were all turned on and warm before we got there. Very spacious and kitchen well stocked. Very nice coffee provided.
