The hallways are tiled with concrete walls, the staff use walkie talkies set to very loud and them seem to talk a lot, so you are woken early and the noise levels are high the whole day.
The pool looks great in photos but is only knee deep for around half of it, so not ideal for swimming laps.
There’s only one decent restaurant in the area, and getting out of the area is difficult and takes about an hour to get to central Bangkok for shopping or restaurants. It is prone to flooding as well, each morning the nearby market would be slightly flooded as the tide was in. This was also the route to the nearby ferry. The ferry was convenient and really the only way to get out of the area without sitting in traffic for ages.
The bed was however comfortable and the location next to the river was nice, but it didn’t make up for the constant noise of staff talking on walkie talkies at all hours or the fact there were no decent restaurants anywhere close. It was not that cheap either when you take the above into account. I’d pay more and stay elsewhere if I visited Bangkok again.
