Two night stay 17/18 July. Rooms hot but livable - but very warm in London! Fan needed lint filter on intake cleaning.....room service should do this with a hoover. Took me five minutes and improved air flow and reduced noise from fan. Our room, no20 in basement at back of building. Very quiet and probably cooler than rooms upstairs. Breakfast good, would have been nice to have yogurts and fresh fruit salad and some pastries. English breakfast good but sausages were not the best. More of a catering sausage than a butchers sausage. Perhaps being fussy! Breakfast room is smallish so getting there early is a good idea. Cook very proficient at getting orders cooked and to the table quickly. Good cereal selection. Tea and coffee from flasks...coffee ok. Happy to look after bags before and after stay.. Reception very helpful, complementary two bottles of cold beer and cold water...very welcome after a day in the city. I would be happy to rebook and stay again.

The room was very small, so much so you had to move the table and chair Tom use the sink. It was hot too, but as it was a heat wave that is expected and a fan was in the room although that took up more room too! The shower was so hot and I couldn't make it cooler which is an unusual complaint I know! But breakfast was good and the complimentary cold drink was a welcome addition on check in. The location near to Paddington Station was good. Saff were friendly.

Avoid at all cost! Horrid air vents filled with loads of dust buildup. Dirty filthy rooms, showers, and bedding. The shower curtain was stained and torn, they didn’t even bother to replace it. No counter space in the bathroom, so forget about being able to properly put your toiletries up. The bathroom was so disgustingly filthy we opted to using public restrooms (yes, it was THAT bad). The bedding and towels had a weird smell and texture to it, as if not properly washed. The stench was so horrid that my children refused to use them, meaning we slept without pillows and blankets. The towels they provided weren’t even full body towels either. Horrible service, the front desk was no help at all to us and borderline rude. The place is very hot, which is expected but the rooms and halls somehow were consistently hotter and more humid than it was outside. Us along with many other guests dealt with not being able to sleep at night because of how unbearably hot the temperature gets in the rooms. Because of this, most guests had to keep their room window open (which made little difference) and the windows of all the rooms faced each other. There were multiple times we would awkwardly see other guests through the window and once we even saw a man nude in his room. This set up is unacceptable as it takes away all guest privacy, keep in mind I had my CHILDREN with me. We also noticed 2 days in that there was a camera facing directly into our room window. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The staff, particularly the receptionist, were very helpful indeed during the visit and also responded immediately when I phoned later in the day after my departure to say I had left my wallet in my room. They searched my room, found the wallet and returned it to me by mail. Full marks!

Good location. Room was at the very top of the house so there were lots of stairs to climb as there was no lift. All the hotels in this area have no lifts, so standard for area. Bed was too firm for my liking but was clean. Breakfast was standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff and room were great. Breakfast was great. TV reception was poor.

Very tiny bathroom

Front desk folks on both shifts are very helpful. The ladies in the kitchen are very accommodating. The Paddington train station is very close. Dozens of restaurants are within walking distance and it's very easy to get to all of the sites. There is no elevator ( lift) if you can't climb then request a first floor room. The bathroom was tiny and not conducive for someone with a large habitus.

Excellent service, nice sauna in lower floor. Location very convenient. Parking was available for me outside

Clean room, small bathroom. We were only there for one night after a 9 hour flight. Was able to get a good sleep.
