The Scott Hotel Brussels

My husband and I and my sister’s family like the hotel and the staffs were very helpful. The only suggestion is no towel rack/handle to put the towel.

Based on one visit. Pros Decent location in a neighborhood outside the tourist area and quieter but near transportation. Walkable to the square (around 30 minutes). The breakfast is reasonably diverse and tastes good. Buffet style and has cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, breads/Toast, rolls, pastries, coffee machine, cheese/lunchmeats, jelly/peanut butter dispensing machine (pretty cool), etc. Cons Room was cramped but we knew that as the square footage was shown when booked. Still a drawback. Hairdryer requires holding to keep on and it requires a bit of grip strength so my wife and daughters hands became sore. The shower has no door and water gets on the floor even when careful.

The hotel is basic. Room is clean but there is no bottled water or kettle in the room. Breakfast has limited choices.

The hotel is located very close to Brussels-Midi metro station, the city center, restaurants a shop.

This hotel is located slightly off the beaten path for the Brussels tourist circle, but it was a good location for us (near a daily vintage market and lots of vintage clothing stores). For my usual rating points: staff: friendly and accommodating, beds: comfortable, water pressure: nonexistent :( but two out of three isn’t bad. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive if not a little oversubscribed at peak times.

Room was acceptable size. Found a hair on the bed but overall comfortable and clean room. Hotel nice. The staff was excellent! Would book again. Great location.

We arrived at 10.30am, dropped our bags and went out the receptionist was moody with no smile. Came back around 10.30pm where we got given 2 single bed room. We booked a deluxe room as we were celebrating a birthday and we requested this on booking. Not even a happy birthday on arrival. As we were so tired we settled in, only to find a bug on the bed with hairs. We rang up, nothing was done. The receptionist did not listen and in fact hung up the phone. There was no iron, ironing board or slippers. We were told to go downstairs to collect!!! After my husband went down he agreed to change the room however NO LIFT goes there so had to pack everything up and move rooms. The room was bigger but didnt feel deluxe but as were super tired we took this room. I cant believe they did this as we were only there for 2 nights celebrating a birthday. This didnt feel special thanks to this hotel. Also water and coffee is only given on the 1st day. On check out no questions were asked on our stay. I wouldnt stay here again or recommend the hotel.

Clean hotel and great position but would not go back. One, unreliable, lift for .8 floors and the alternative was a concrete spiral staircase. Nor sure how that meets fire regs. Coffee machine in room but you get charged if you want more than 1 coffee a day. Also way too hot, couldn’t have air con on at night as the tv screen wouldn’t turn off so had to remove room card from slot

We enjoyed having a decent breakfast on the hotel premise. The hotel location is very near the train station. Uber is around Euro 15 to the station, don't take a regular taxi. I was charged Euro 45 from the station to the hotel, the driver said they have a standard rate. I used Uber when I returned to the station after checking out
