Hotel Not Hotel Amsterdam

We stayed here for a weekend in July for a concert. The hotel was in a perfect location for us, easy to get to and from the city centre by tram or walking. The 2 lovely ladies at the reception desk were very cheerful and helpful always. Considering it was a shared bathroom, the bathrooms were kept clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here when we come back next year!! 🙌☺️

I got bed bugs after staying in the tram for two nights. I contacted the property and they initially responded and were seemingly concerned, but then proceeded to ignore my emails and never followed up. Very disappointing and will never stay there again nor would I recommend it.

Overall an ok hotel and reasonable value for 4 people in Amsterdam, but not cheap by any means. Pictures on site are a little misleading to the size of the room. Pictures include sitting area and stairs making you believe it is a loft style room that sleeps 5, but you actually get one very small studio type room and a bathroom. 2 single beds and one queen crammed in, which sleeps 4 normally. Zero room to spread out etc. Good location for the tram, friendly staff, but would probably not stay at this location again.

Staff Excellent,extremely helpful. The only down side was the room size not a lot of room. Maybe there are bigger rooms. Ideal for students more so than old people

We picked this hotel because of it's uniqueness. The rooms we got were the bookcase rooms they were nice no air conditioning it was super hot when we were staying there but the fans did work. One thing to consider when staying in those rooms is there's no bathroom in each room the bathroom is downstairs and at 3:00 in the morning it's a bit of a chore to go use the bathroom find your key put on clothes Etc. There are rooms there that have bathrooms in them but they aren't the rooms with the bookshelves. The staff was great the community bathrooms are unisex and they were very clean all the time. There's a coffee shop five doors down and it's close to a train station. We spent two days there and had a good time. The cab ride to the red light district was about 50 euros but it's way cheaper using the train. If you're looking for something unique this is a good hotel to check out.

Cheap and cheerful Basic rooms good as a cheap base point.

The hotel was a great place if you don’t have a lot of language as the rooms are on the smaller size. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and willing to help. The only complaint I had was that they stated they had air conditioner but it was a fan on the wall. So the room got hot when sleeping. Also they said not provided to small pillows. However overall we should stay here again if we needed to!

Everything about the hotel was wonderful with the exception of me getting bitten really badly by bed bugs.
