Conveniently located, just a block away from the train station. Very walkable area. Generally speaking, not in the 'best' area of Frankfurt but I never felt unsafe. The hotel itself, is in an older historical building, which I loved. Very high ceilings, and lots of airy space. Oversized space in general. The room was very spacious, and the Queen size bed was as comfy, as a harder than usual bed can be. After travelling through Germany, the hard bed seems to be the norm, so I wouldn't call it a hotel issue. The room didn't have air conditioning, but the windows opened right up which gave a nice cross breeze later in the evening. Even with the warmer than average temps' I was never uncomfortably hot. The mini fridge in the room came in handy. Larger than average bathroom, with a larger than average tub - perfect for soaking in after a day on your feet. The room was dusty; lamp + lampshades, and the one light on the desk didn't work. When I opened the tall bureau, dust bunnies came floating out. The young lady at the front desk was extremely sweet. She was easy to talk to, and answered many of my questions about the area, and Germany in general. I really enjoyed my small chats with her. She also expressed how she really enjoyed working at the hotel, which made me feel even better about staying there. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone - it's quiet and calm, and a great place to land after a busy day.

We were so pleased with the Hotel Monopol. Our train was delayed so we missed our connection and needed to overnight in Frankfurt. I booked the hotel and when we arrived, the staff was so welcoming and friendly. Check in was easy and our room was huge! The hotel is older but well kept. Our room overlooked a busy street and had fans for moving cool night air into the space. There were gummy bear candies on each pillow, plenty of towels, and a refrigerator stocked with complimentary water, a soda. and a beer. Beds are comfortable and clean; the bathroom was spotless. Check out was equally easy and friendly. If we’re ever passing through Frankfurt again we would not hesitate to stay here again!

Excellently situated right across the street from the central station. The hotel itself is a bit dated but very clean. Note that there is no air conditioning.

No air conditioning. Bathroom was not well equipped (out of soap.

We stayed at this property in May 2026. The location was very close to the train station; that was great. The area around the hotel and the train station were not very pleasant. Lots of drug use and scary individuals. The room was not nice. It had a very unpleasant odour and it was very dirty. The toilet paper holder was covered in s**t. I wiped the counter with a cloth and it was so dirty it was alarming. The step over into the tub to use the shower was very dangerous. There was nothing to hold on to and the toilet also made it very challenging to get in. I could go on but I do not think that I need to list every detail of our not very nice three day stay. This was definitely one of those reservations that you regret.

Clean spacious room. Train Station is across the street. Breakfast buffet was lovely!

Ideal hotel for my trip as only in Frankfurt for the one night with an evening arrival and early morning start. Location excellent for my purposes, very helpful staff. I will be heading back here early February for my next trip

Sketchy i wouldnt recommend .. better stay in kolh.. nearby city.

Staff tried their best. Only 1 air conditioned room and it kept falling apart. Had to prop it to make it work. Mini bar was ok but they stopped filling it day 4, we were there for 6 nights.
