The Arbutus Hotel takes customer service to a whole new level. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The servers and receptionist were particularly attentive to my mother's gluten restriction with breakfast and dinner.
The hotel is in a beautiful building with lots of intricate decorations and objects to look at.
Our room, however, needed work. The heating came through an overhead fan that made noise every time the vents opened or shut, so I had to sleep with earplugs. The bathroom fan was also loud. The lights were confusing to operate, and one of the bedside lamps didn't work.
The room was mostly clean, but the shower had some mold.

I enjoyed the quaint ambience very much. Our room was a generous size, which we appreciated. The staff were all delightful. We dropped by the pub Saturday night and the musicians were very talented, playing traditional Irish music that had me toe-tapping.
My main suggestion is about food because I am Celiac and need gluten-free options. The options were limited, and I would have liked to have a small fridge in the room for food I keep with me because of the limited menu options I often am dealing with.

Fantastiskt Top notch hotel with a great staff. It has an old-school vibe which is very charming. Great pub next-door that is more locals, which is nice versus all the tourist traps along the street.

The room was super spacious and every single staff member was exceptionally fun and kind. The bar was such a hit we literally went for one drink and stayed for 6 hours!

The quality of the hotel was exceeded only by the quality of the staff. Everyone was courteous, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, especially the mattress, and the bathrooms crystal clean. And the breakfast was outstanding. The Arbutus gets our highest recommendation. I
