A great hotel, the food hall is brilliant. Its clean and tidy. The zoo next door, that is well worth a walk round, mainly birds, is free to hotel guests. There is a boat trip across the road. For Zegerplas parkrun its the closest hotel. So easy to get to, Amsterdam Airport, go to bus stop B5 A 470 bus runs mainly in bus lanes and soon covers the 14.9 miles to the hotel. Then a nice 1 mile walk to the hotel. Its a 3.5 k warm up walk to the most beautiful parkrun, around a very large lake, that take your breath away. Worth a 5 star.

Comfortable clean room. Wish I’d booked 2 nights! Enjoyed the free entry to the bird park next door. The lady who checked me in was excellent and helped me plan my journey to Zegerplas the following morning (arranged bicycle rent). The restaurant staff were excellent and the food was great. The check-out team were very patient when I checked out a little late, then left something in the room.

The room was a bit more basic and bathroom less modern than other Van der Valk hotels but was well located for my husband to do a “Z” Parkrun! Added bonus was the inclusion of entry to the bird park the hotel is next to - we really enjoyed our visit there in the morning!

Plenty of free parking. Free access to interesting bird and animal park. Nice restaurant with excellent breakfast choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. We received a helpful welcome text prior to arrival and reception staff were friendly and efficient when we checked in. Our room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The 11.30 checkout enabled us to take part in Zagerplas parkrun, return and shower before departure. We were delighted to learn that our booking entitled us to free admission to the adjacent Avifunda Birdpark and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there.
