Stayed 15 - 29 May Excellent hotel although certainly not 5 star at present. The staff were all exceptional and they are very definitely 5 star. Standard room for the first 12 nts. Very nice room lacking in storage and full length mirror. But apparently hotel are aware of this since they opened in Jan 26 and it is in hand. Breakfast was again 5 star with everything you could possibly want to set you up for the day. We only eat at the hotel one evening, but it was extremely good when we did. Clearly more expensive than eating ‘out’, but that applies to any hotel in Khao Lak. Very quiet whilst we were there as it’s low season, but this suited us fine and all facilities pools, etc were excellent. Unfortunately the pool areas are surrounded by decking what is extremely slippery. Clearly not a good idea round a swimming pool. I slipped during the first week but was ok other than a bruised knee. Two days before the end of our stay my partner also slipped and fell , but she unfortunately fractured her left arm. The staff were extremely quick and helpful on being advised of the accident, Jan and Joy could not of been more helpful with getting her comfortable and getting us to the clinic for x rays. Earlier in the holiday I had also seen a much younger female slip, but get straight back up and carry on. where my partner slipped had one of its stairways blocked off because apparently someone had slipped going down them. We were kindly upgraded to a garden villa for the last 2 days

Excellent! Great room, location, breakfast, pool, etc!

We had the standard rooms closest to the road, which were very noisy at night due to very loud and raucous music and partying at a nearby bar. Pools were wonderful, gym was fabulous, restaurants and staff also very good. Great location, would definitely stay again but request a room on the other side of resort.

Für 5 Sterne viel Luft nach oben Getränke maßlos überteuert Viele kleine Baustellen auf Gelände Rutschige Böden am Pool Zu wenig Sonnenschirme Am Strand und Pool werden die Liegen vom Beachboy gegen Trinkgeld am Morgen reserviert Am Nachmittag ab 16.15 Uhr werden die Sonnenschirme zusammengeklappt…. Viel Personal spricht kaum englisch- von deutsch ganz zu schweigen- außer Jan an der Rezeption (der ist ja aber auch nicht immer vor Ort)…

Lovely rooms overlooking beautiful gardens. Situated on the beach and walking distance to lots of good bars and restaurants. Breakfast really good. Staff brilliant.Will definitely book La Flora group again.

We checked in after staying at La Vela, with excellent support from Jan who is friendly, fun and very professional. We'd been allocated a villa - fantastic upgrade. If you can afford it, go for it! The rooms are enormous and luxurious. Everything you could ask for is there. The grounds are beautiful, manicured and lush. The pools are huge with so many sunbeds both poolside and beach side you'll be spoiled for choice. It's so perfect that I'm half afraid to return in case it's not so good next time. But, on reflection, it's a risk I'm prepared to take 😁. Well done everyone who works there. You bring happiness to so many people
