This is our second time at THE GATE HOTEL FUKUOKA by HULIC. I love this hotel as its newly built with modern finishes in the guest room. We stayed in a Corner Double Room and it's so spacious. There is a short hallway with a mirror as you walk in. The toilet/bidet is in a separate room; it has a sensor so the lid opens as you get closer. The wash room includes the wash basin, with the separate bath tub and shower sectioned off with a sealed door. The bed is huge for two people, but the pillows were fairly average as it tends to sink as you sleep. While there is no public bath (sento), the bath tub in the room makes up for it. There is also a Nespresso machine with 4 pods but we didn't use it during our stay. The breakfast here is one of, if not, the best. Freshly squeezed orange juice as you enter. You are then asked if you prefer the French toast, eggs benedict or Japanese style breakfast for your main. There is honey comb at the buffet, a teppan with a chef to cook a selection of vegetables, as well as Western and Japanese options. It is directly connected to the Tenjin subway so it's convenient. Lots of shopping options nearby so you can hop out of your room and stumble into the various malls surrounding this hotel including ONE FUKUOKA. Also lots of food options so you're spoilt for choice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Extremely good location and well connected to shopping malls & restaurants. Not ideal for those who are driving as hotel doesn’t have its own parking.

Very nice property with Western-size rooms, right in the heart of Tenjin and its shopping district. Somewhat odd that the lobby is on the 19th floor, while the guest rooms are below. The only minor mark is the Lounge . . . beet nice decor, but don’t expect much in terms of food or snacks. Sparse would be the correct descriptive. Having said that, I’d gladly stay again.

Best location and clean room

Excellent location, locating in inside of subway station and walking distance to lots of restaurants. Shopping is convenient , Don Quiote and Bic camera. Love the balcony where you can sit outside for drinks . Very enjoyable , will definitely stay there next time I visit Fukuoka .

Breakfast was excellent. Room was well appointed but a little small. Bathroom was fabulous. Did not shop so can’t comment but it is in the heart of the city with shops near by. Staff helpful and pleasant. Large park with a lake, paddle boat rentals, playground etc. Only short walk away.

Hotel, room, staff, and breakfast were all excellent! Wonderful location as well. Club on 18th floor was a bit disappointing. Alcohol and snacks for a fee. Club space was not great. Only visited for a few minutes and never returned.

Very nice hotel that is very conveniently located in Tenjin.

The hotel location is great just 2 mins walk from Tenjin Station Exit 5. The hotel room is quite small if have 2 luggages but the room is clean, new and have Nespresso coffee machine. The staffs were attractive and service is excellent as they help to book a taxi to the airport and send us down to the hotel main road with umbrellas as is raining that day. I hope to stay in this hotel when I go to Fukuoka again.

Every aspect of my 1 week stay was perfect. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food and service was outstanding. Wonderful location, hotel, staff, and service. Highly recommend.
