Starlight Camping Pods

Great little spot for someone who wants to experience pod camping for a bargain. No frills but none needed. Main house was clean and fully stocked. I would book again if I had the option.

These pods are perfect. There is a fully stocked kitchen in a separate building. An excellent base to explore from.

They scam me. I don’t get my room and can’t call them I ended up have to book different hotel.

The little cabin, kitchen and bathroom area are very nice and clean, but the phone numbers they list for help are not answered. When we got up this morning we found 3 people sleeping in the kitchen. They claimed that they did not receive proper check in instructions to get in their cabin. This place is completely unsupervised and the doors to general area are left open, not safe!!!

The property feels like it SHOULD be amazing, but there's just a few things that made it just okay for us, and for others a nightmare. The most glaring issue is the check in process. The listing says you'll get an email with a code to check in but you will not get this if you book through Expedia or any other 3rd party sites. I messaged them on Expedia and they didn't respond when it was time to check in. I borrowed a locals phone and called the number, and was lucky enough that they answered and I got a code to get in, but then I watched multiple other couples try to do the same and they wouldn't answer so they were stuck sitting in the lobby for hours and hours hoping someone would eventually pick up, well after check in time. Eventually hours and hours after we got lucky with our call and checked in, they did end up getting back to me through Expedia message and they gave me someone elses code to their room?? I told them I already had my own and I don't need a second room. They didn't respond. They also clearly only do maintenance on the lobby/bathroom area infrequently. Every single soap dispenser in all 6 bathrooms was empty, towels were on the floor, there were no garbage bags in the bins so you had to save all your garbage and throw it in the bathroom bins. Very odd overall

The property is so peaceful and beautiful, I loved waking up each morning to the peaceful landscape. The kitchen is clean and has everything you need to make your meals. I’ll be back the next time I travel to Iceland.

WiFi did not reach sleeping pods. For some reason put us in the furthest away pod from the main area even though only 2 were occupied out of 24. Doesn’t stock main area very well with paper towels or soap.

The people who are involved are good. Thats not the issue. I slept here with my daughter one night. Its winter (end of march) The small heater didnt do anything. For the area there needs to be two heaters for each person. The wind was so crazy that night i didnt sleep. I thought we were going to blow away. Honestly i was that scared and cold all night.

There didn’t appear to be a lot of guests but we were in one of the pods furtherest away from the bathroom/kitchen area. A long walk in the wind and cold at night for sure. Overall
