Quirky and fun

I loved everything about this hotel

The staff were friendly, and spoke good English. They have a very good breakfast. There was a relaxed vibe with interesting animal themed interior design. The staircases are steep and the rooms need to be repainted at some point. Overall, I liked the place and would come back here again.

We stayed here for four nights and had a great experience. It was a short walk to the nearest bus stop, the Martinitoren, the Forum, restaurants, small shops, and there is a grocery store practically across the street. The breakfast spread is amazing, with hot food, pastries galore, and even champagne! Hot coffee and tea are available throughout the day with their self-service machines. I can't say enough about the friendly staff who treated us so kindly and always with a smile. The hotel is very old, but has been remodeled recently. You may notice that those are real zebra heads mounted in the entryway, but there is a positive story about them. They actually died naturally at the zoo, and instead of feeding them to the lions, the zoo taxidermied them and sold them as a fundraiser. I definitely will stay here the next time we visit Groningen.

Decent hotel in the heart of the city. Parking is extra but close to the hotel. Breakfast was nice

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were very helpful and the room was very comfortable.

Property a bit outdated and badly stained carpets

Quaint hotel. No ac on some hot days fan and breeze helped. Bit noisy over bar. Had an enjoyable experience.
