Authentically maintained old hotel in a stunning location. Considering the very low outside temperatures, the hotel, restaurant and accommodation areas were toasty warm during our entire stay (3 nights). Beds and pillows super comfy, bedding super cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of options on the continental breakfast buffet, and evening menu was great too. A lot of sights to see and several quaint settlements and towns to visit, all within an hour or so drive of the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to return to or recommend!

Well worth the stay here a beautiful part of the country, lovely large fire going and great atmosphere.

One of a kind stay in this historic location and building. The lounge area with its lovely big open fire and wooden beams is awesome. Restaurant meals delicious and staff friendly and everything is no hassle.

Always a treat to stay here. Sitting around the huge fireplace is such a marvellous way to relax, before and after dining!

This place is a gem

cool spot for an overnight stay . good food although a little pricey , rooms are fine and staff were very accommodating .
