The property was clean and comfortable. It’s near the beach, but not on the beach. Some restaurants are nearby. Breakfast was good. It does get very busy after 8am. The employees were very nice and helpful. My only negative was with housekeeping and the refresh of the room. They did not restock amenities or refreshed all the linens. The hotel seem recently built but some materials are showing significant wear and tear (tables, night stands). It was good place to stay for a few nights.

The staff here at Savoy were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! The location was perfect for our stay, as we had everything that we wanted and needed within walking distance from our hotel. Beach and pool access here was the most favorite part of our stay!

My room was flooded with water from the aircon duct above that i have to laid a towel to absorb the excess water. I may slip and fall as i enter the toilet. The water keeps dripping from day till overnight. I saw several flies flying around as i was eating breakfast and one dead fly on the table. I notified the waitress , she came , smile and walk away. (Senior staff) The shower room was big and floor was slippery when wet. There ar eno supporting hand rails which we could hold onto . Not user friendly for old folks or folks with restrictive movement.

Great 2-Night Stopover, convenient location. ​I recently stayed at the Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown for a quick 2-night stay (arriving May 30th) as part of a hotel and flight package, and it was a a great choice for a seamless stopover. ​The location in Mactan Newtown is incredibly convenient—only about 15–20 minutes from the airport, which made arrival completely stress-free. Everything you need is within walking distance, including local restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, and convenience stores. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with good air conditioning and reliable Wi-Fi. The staff were exceptionally polite, welcoming, and quick to assist with any requests. They serve lovely breakfast buffet as well with good selections, the ampalaya salad was my favourite. The hotel has a pool, a gym and on site spa that offers affordable rates. A major highlight for me was the amazing room service Sampaguita full body signature massage provided by the hotel spa staff. I slept like a baby after a long flight from the UK. I'd definitely recommend, both the massage and the hotel for anyone who would like a hassle-free base in Mactan.

It was in a good location near a small beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tours offered from hotel were too overpriced. It's very close to airport.

Very nice place to stay in the Newtown area. Room has everything one would need, though over a 10 night stay, there were a couple of nights when there was no TV signal. No big deal. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, in large part due to the amazing staff. Shout out for Ivy! Wonderful young lady who was always super attentive to our needs. Looking forward to staying here again next time we go to Cebu.

The property is beautiful and very close to the beach. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. They provide laundry service, expensive but makes the stay easier if you stay for a while like I did. The beach is well maintained but the food service there is average. I ordered fish and chips, the fish I received was still raw and one piece was mostly fish skin. The hotel cafe is convenient but routinely runs out of stuff. Overall good stay but could be much better for the cost.

This hotel doesn't have AC in the humid close to 100 degree Mactan weather. Worse, hotel staff lied about it. Later they claimed that's an environmentally friendly energy saving measure. However, in between they sent maintenance to the room who claimed that everything worked well and room will be cold in 30 min. Keep in mind this is a small 200 sf room with a smaller than queen sized bed. All curtains are closed due to heat of the sun, so you're basically cooking in tiny dark room. 90%+ of customers seemed to be from other Asian countries who are used to the heat. If you're from a western coutry and expect working AC, avoid this place like a plague. It took a 3 hour fight to cancel our registration. Then they said it is cancelled but refused to provide paperwork to prove it. It was another 45 min fight to get a proof of cancellation that I will need to submit to Orbitz to receive money back. If there were a negative rating, I would have chosen that. Worse hotel in Mactan. We ended up booking a walk-in in the Mercure next door. Much better at similar price point. However, room and bed were tiny. But we got ocean view and working AC. Bottom line, if you want to enjoy your stay in Mactan get ready to pay Shangri-LA or Sheraton prices. Beach is nice but tiny and the entire city is basically Newton Street with a Starbucks, McDonalds, 2 x 7/11s and 3 bars. Not much else. 1 night was perfect.

Ac temperature was not adjustable and very noisy

It’s alright our tv is broken lol room is you got what you paid for.
