I stayed in Okayama as a base to visit Naoshima Island which is easily accessible via public transport links. The hotel was easy walking distance from the station and right next door to the Aeon Mall where you could find everything you could possibly want.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Bra The hotel was conveniently located close to the shopping centre and the main train station. The room was old style but quite spacious and clean.
The main disadavantage is that it is not possible to leave luggage before check in and after check out. There are coin lockers inside the shopping centre but they are quite small so will only fit medium size bag/backpack. Something to bear in mind.

Hotel was great. Good location close to the train station and easy walk to the garden and castle. Breakfast was very good, with Japanese and Western choices.

Ark Hotel has a good location, close to the station and a nice shopping. The room has a good size, it's clean but needs a little modernization. The internet is too slow.
