Super clean, comfy, and convenient!

The continental breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. My suite overlooked the backyard, nothing great and but unfortunately, I found it to be extremely dusty. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to help with anything we requested. They were also very friendly and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with easy access to restaurants, historic landmarks, the heart of Porto, and just a short walk from the Dom Luís I Bridge. It is an ideal base for exploring the city. As the hotel is housed in an older building, the rooms are on the smaller side, which was expected. Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by a strong, unpleasant odour coming from the shower drain in our room. We reported the issue to management, who advised that they would try to move us to another room. While we appreciated their willingness to help, the room change did not take place until the following day, meaning we had to endure the smell overnight. The room change was appreciated but had issues with the air conditioning, we reported this and the management said they would have a look. Another night of discomfort. Overall, the hotel’s outstanding location is a significant advantage, but addressing maintenance issues more promptly would greatly improve the guest experience. Given the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced, a gesture of goodwill or some form of compensation would have been appreciated and would have demonstrated a stronger commitment to guest satisfaction.

Good location, spacious room, clean, and friendly staff. My room was ready early so I was able to check in and get settled once I got there, which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice quiet area but close enough to all the things and felt nice and safe.

Axis Club Porto exceeded our expectations! After a very long day of travel we were warmly welcomed at reception, check in was quick, and we opened the door to a beautifully appointed room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic! Not only is the hotel beautiful and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the location can’t be beat! The hotel is located on a gorgeous street across from city hall and walking distance to everything! Reviews are what helped us choose this hotel so I hope my review helps others!

The location is perfect. Hotel staff are very friendly. The room is clean.

Just returned from a 3-night stay at this hotel and I genuinely didn’t want to come home! Clean and stylish rooms, the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, wonderful polite staff who were so helpful and fantastic location right in the heart of Porto. We walked everywhere from here (including over to Gaia and back - yes, uphill!) which was totally fine for us. Plenty of restaurants nearby and also sites to see and places to relax and soak up the atmosphere. One of my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed in - book it!
