I came to Uno jist for this experience and it was 1000% worth it (yes really). To see the sea fireflies in such numbers, learn about them in detail and have a wonderfully curated experience was fabulous. We had a small group size and Sam made sure we could see and do what we most enjoyed. Gabe photographing tips, had a deep knowledge of the fire flies, ensured we could get back to trains on time and was genuinely amazing. I'd have reccomended this experience simply for the once in a life time opportunity to see and interact with the sea fireflies (yes ethically and ensuring they are respected and unharmed). But given the knowledge and care this is run with I'd say everyone should make the trip even.if you aren't really a nature lover. Simply breathtaking
Such a unique and magical experience! we were guided to capture and observe them. Taking photos of the glow can be a little challenging in the dark, but that actually made the experience even more memorable, and seeing them with your own eyes is much more impressive than any photo can capture. The guide was very professional, friendly throughout the event. absolutely 5 stars.
I have done a few experience with marine animals, and this one is really unique. The fireflies really are as the photos show, and the guide clearly know how to make the best out of the experience by setting up different ways to demonstrate the luminescence properties of these animals and take photos and videos of them. Great in both English and Japanese, since the guide was fluent in both, and he also took the necessary precautions seriously, while still making it fun and memorable. Quite a nice end of the day activity, especially if you just arrived from a trip to the neighborhood islands like Nahoshima
