Property located in the heart of Banff main market area where everything is within walking distance. Property is well maintained and breakfast is also good. Property also has parking lot making it extremely convenient for most travelers. Balcony upgrade was very attractive. Hotel also has gym facility. They should add treadmill in the Gym as improvement.

Rooms were nice and a fun rustic vibe. Complimentary breakfast was a great perk. The location was so nice for getting to Banff stores and restaurants without worrying about crowds and parking.

Location….location…location! It’s situated perfectly in the middle of everything…

The comfiest bed I have slept in EVER…..

Pros: Location, location, location. Front desk staff was very friendly and having onsite parking was helpful. Cons: We paid extra for a balcony and It rained so much that we never used It. That’s not the property’s fault but It felt like a waste of money so would just caution others. The seating in the room was so uncomfortable and after a long day of hiking It would be nice to chill in something comfy. Finally, the included breakfast also wasn’t great… we stayed at a Super 8 in High River the first night and their included breakfast was better.

2.5 stars for our four-night stay in the summer. Overall, this place tries to punch above its weight, but would be better if it decided to be realistic about what it has. First the bad and then the good: Bad: Room smelled like a pool. There was a “tinging” sound coming from the ducting in the room; so very annoying to me (but not my wife). We stayed four nights (in order to explore the parks in the area in June), and for a 4-night stay they put us next to the ice machine which sits in the hallway (rather than its own nook, like nicer places). The room door has a 3+ inch gap above the carpet, so you hear everything down the hallways (and loud ice machine), and you get the hall light coming in that gap 24/7. The carpet was a bit dirty, as it was that short plastic scrubby thing made to deal with winter ski environment most of the year. Since this was our 3rd stop on a long trip, we were ready to use their laundry room. It required eight $1 coins; been a few years since I had any actual coins or cash on me. So, hunt for ATM, change, etc. The dryers did not do the job in one cycle. Good: Location in the heart of Banff. Aesthetically pleasing building, lobby and sitting area. Their lodge-log aesthetic was well cleaned. Staff at front desk was very helpful, and could only work with what the property owners have. “Free” hotel breakfast had different items each of our four days; and quality was what you would expect in most places when it is offered to all guests.

The location of Brewster Mountain Lodge is perfect! Right in the middle of the downtown activity. We did use their underground parking which was very convenient. Breakfast was good but the hike to find the Breakfast Nook took forever. If you have any walking issues, this will be a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is located 1 block off the Main Street so it’s more quiet than those on Banff Ave. We had a sitting area downstairs with the bed in the loft upstairs which was nice. Very spacious room and it had a nice balcony where you could sit outside and people watch. The staff were so friendly & helpful in answering questions. Nice breakfast every morning as well.
