We were in Reykjavik for the first time just before Christmas 2022 and I really got lucky finding Reykjavik Treasure. Since then, we’ve wanted to see Iceland in summer to get out from the capital and see more. We did it recently in late May and it was everything we imagined. And of course it included a stay at Reykjavik Treasure. It’s centrally located in the downtown, there are plenty of long-term parking facilities within blocks, and it has easy access to restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful with travel advice, weather and road information, and the breakfasts are fabulous. It’s always great seeing fellow travelers and Steinunn (owner) at breakfast in the morning. We loved our stay and will of course be back in the future. The place really is a treasure.

I've been lucky enough to visit Reykjavik a few times, and each time I stay here.
The staff are great. Very warm and welcoming, and are always very helpful with advice on activities across Iceland.

Characterful converted old bakery in a very central location near many restaurants and shops. Car park very close by. Super comfy bed and a very warm welcome from the host at breakfast. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a smaller, authentic Icelandic welcome in Reykjavik.

This place really is a treasure. Perfect location in the center of Reykjavík. Beautiful historic architecture and extremely clean. Breakfast in the morning was great… with lots of local treats. We enjoyed talking with our host and meeting some of the other guests around the table. We would highly recommend this quaint and charming guest house!

We had an amazing stay at the Reykjavik Treasure during our 4 day trip to Iceland. The property was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The house is old, so there are some quirks, but they did not bother us. The breakfast was delicious, healthy and filling.

Our stay at Reykjavik Treasure B&B was exceptional. Steinunn, the host, went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable experience. She was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. The property is beautiful, perfectly located within walking distance of Reykjavik’s main attractions, and offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of fresh options. We highly recommend Reykjavik Treasure B&B and will certainly choose it again for future visits.
